Let Me See Your Papers
An example of Corruption of Liberty by Unlawful Regulation and Policies
***
Liberty to travel? "Let me see your papers!"
(Unlawful applicatin of statutes voiding rights to travel freely, to own, use and dispose of property, to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, to peaceably assemble, to keep and bear arms, contract, to privacy and etc.)
This corny line by the Gestapo or SS in the old movies is now a fact of everyday life in our country. We used to ask our parents, "Why didn't the people shoot those NAZIs who wanted their papers?"

Those quasi-criminal police-state tactics of the Gestapo and SS are imposed today, by our own people, upon us, in our own country! Well? So, what is your answer for your children today? Why don't we shoot?

Our parents reassured us back then, "It can't happen here." But we find that it is happening here. It is happening here, now, tens of thousands of times every day. Unfortunately, we have become accustomed to tyranny.

Our liberty of travel now requires approved government documentation and permission in every instance. If we refuse to voluntarily submit, we face immediate detention and seizure at gunpoint, arrest, fines and imprisonment  The people in government claim that requirements to which we must submit are imposed to preserve public safety, public health and the general public good. These are naked lies when applied to the Citizens, whose fundamental rights to travel, own, use and dispose of property, and otherwise conduct our lives freely and without restraint are destroyed instead of defended and preserved.

The activities of commercial operators, aliens and foreigners may be regulated in this sense and fr the stated purposes, but the Citizens rights may not be infringed in their private conduct
